Dr. James D’silva is one of the softest spoken and grounded Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon you would ever come across. A man most interested in providing you with the best possible results treats you as part of his extended family so much so that he would not advise any patient a treatment which he would not recommend to his own family.Having been brought up in a small agricultural town of Central India, he completed his early education from Government schools. He was offered the free government seats for his Graduation and Post-graduation at Government medical college, Jabalpur. He undertook his Super specialty training from Grant Medical College in Mumbai in the year 2003 and is specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.He went on to practice Micro-vascular and Hand surgery in India’s premier free standing Plastic surgery Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore for over a year when he realized his interest in Artistic Plastic Surgery namely Cosmetic surgery. He then refined his skills in the Aesthetic Surgery field, developing great experience in breast surgery, liposuction, face surgery and body contouring techniques. He started working at The Cosmetic Surgery Institute in 2005 and he has been a Consultant Cosmetic Surgeon since then.He is passionate about the Cosmetic aspects of reconstructive surgery which includes Cleft lip nose surgery, Facial palsy reconstruction, Implant based breast reconstruction surgery, Scar management to remove the stigma of surgery/ injury and also Hand surgery.To provide the artistic result every patient deserves, he uses cutting-edge technologies mastered over time in his aesthetic medicine calling. In fact, he is one of the pioneer surgeons to use Non –surgical procedures as the stepping stone to enhance looks. He practices preventive cosmetic medicine which helps in maintaining the skin and preventing hair fall so that his patients continue to look the way they want for a long time. Throughout his career, he has published more than 30 articles in prestigious peer-reviewed journals, such as the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal, JPRAS, Clinics of North America and Many more. He is now one of the Editors of a 6 Volume Manual of Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine which is published by Springer Publications. He is also a teacher and a trainer to young upcoming Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeons in different parts of India.
