Dr. Sumitpal Bhatti

I received knowledgeable and timely expert insights from ENT specialist Dr. Sumit Bhatti from January 10 - February 4, 2019 during critical moments that I faced in trying to find optimal solutions for saving my hearing. I experienced a health crisis beginning with sudden loss of hearing in January 2019. Sudden hearing loss in medical terms is considered an emergency. I had extreme inflammation of the inner ear, intense pain radiating out from behind the ear along jaw, heavy viscous liquid buildup in my right middle ear, interrupted sleep, and results from hearing tests showed I had mixed hearing loss - i.e. Conventional and Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SNHL). Several trips to the doctor/emergency, ineffective rounds of antibiotics (ear drops and tablets), and an incomplete myringtonomy at a private clinic by an ENT/cosmetic surgeon left me with a pierced ear drum (done with no anesthesia or explanation as to what and why this was being performed). With only partial liquid removed and now with a perforated ear drum and continued inflammation, I developed new symptoms of tinnitus, headache and inability to concentrate or sleep at all. As my hearing and symptoms worsened, I developed high anxiety at the prospect of losing my hearing permanently in the absence of proper/timely medical intervention. During this period I also lost days off work. Finally, after much research of all the ENT specialists, my sister and I found an excellent ENT surgeon at a reputable hospital to whom I was referred and have been under his excellent care since February 1, 2016. From February 1 - 3, 2016, I had ear surgery in which proper hearing tests were conducted beforehand, procedures and options/treatment plan were explained to me, and emergency interventions were made to treat my condition. At the time of writing this, follow-up hearing tests were planned on February 4, 2016 to determine the status of my hearing and next steps in my treatment plan. While I have some reduced hearing and still have some ways to go in terms of follow up and other sinus-related issues, my inflammation of the inner ear has been reduced and much of the viscous liquid removed (including culture sent to the lab for testing). I am feeling much better and feel like my treatment plan is going well. During the peak of my medical crisis, and when I began to have a feeling of helplessness & despair, I was very fortunate to have found the very helpful expert consultation services of Dr. Sumit Bhatti, ENT surgeon. I found Dr. Bhatti to be an extremely ************** caring, helpful and diligent ENT specialist who walked me through my health crisis until I was on the right course and in the care of a good ENT with a proper treatment plan. For six consecutive days, Dr. Bhatti answered my questions without hesitation and offered not only in-depth knowledge of my ENT issues, but also practical options, expert analysis and explanations for each of my symptoms. I was better informed and prepared to ask all the right questions when meeting with my healthcare professional. Dr. Bhatti was a tremendous source of encouragement and support for me during this trying period. Knowing I was on the right track helped me to relax and be positive and a willing patient during the operative procedures, and I'm sure this co-operation in turn helped the ENT treating me to perform well! My wife was suffering with severe dizzyness problem, Since June 2022, it was unbearable to her to remain in that condition through out the day. Initially, i took her to neurologist, who could not diaogonse her clearly. Then we showed her to Neuro Surgen, who after taking MRI / CT scan, diagonised that she is having spondilysis, accordingly we started her medication. But her problem was not solved, then NeuroSurgeon advised to take Opinion of ENT specialist. We started google search and found that review of patients gone through same problem n got treated by Dr. Bhatti ji n decided to take his opinion. We visited Dr. Bhatti ji's clinic on Jun 25, 2022, after undergoing various tests, we came to that she is having BPPV. Accordingly she was advised to take medication and to do regular exercises as recommended by Dr Bhatt ji. After taking medication and doing regular exercise she started feeling better. Dr. also told that her hearing sense ha become hypersensitive , so she has to take care. But even after taking care of that due to noise pollution around , sometime she start complaining of dizziness problem. But after consulting Dr. Bhatti ji and taking regular medication she feels better.

My wife is almost feeling better compare to the most tragedic days while she was having before taking treatment by Dr. Bhatt ji.

We express our sheer gratitude to Dr. Bhatti ji for solving my wife's most critical problem. Because of his proper diagonising and advising medication n recommending exercise my wife got new life from earlier most horrible one.

One of the poor experience I had visiting prudent & this. While taking appointment I clearly said it’s for a 6 year old child wax removal. I should have been proactively informed that this clinic doesn’t have facility for the same. No interest in doing so but as a customer I have full right to clarify my ask. Just because you don’t have that facility you can’t get rude & dictate me the years of experience you carry & how long this way of treatment is ongoing. My Ear was aching for past 2-3 days *** ******* ******* **** ****** ******* he immediately asked me to take up a test. This test was somewhere around 800 bucks. Post which he explained things in medical terms impossible for a layman like me to understand and prescribed me medicines worth 1500 bucks. Excellent experience with both the doctor and the Clinic. Dr. Sumit Bhatti explained in detail about my hearing loss and what options are available for the management and treatment for the same. It is surprising to hear about so many new technologies that are available today. I have heard about these newer options for the first time in so many years only from Dr. Sumit Bhatti. He is very well informed and Thanks to him I could try out newer hearing aids. The hearing aids that I had bought earlier from other doctors did not suit me. I have not been happy and not been able to use them. They keep lying in my desk drawer. I had been forced to buy a set of expensive hearing aids that were of no use to me now. Dr. Sumit Bhatti explained well the reasons for this and he encouraged me to first get my hearing re - checked and then try multiple hearing aids before zeroing on the best match. Then he asked me to take a trial at home with my preferred hearing aid. This trial I took for almost 10 days. I did have to visit the audiologist Mr. Ashutosh to get the programming changed to my liking. Only after that did I finalise the hearing aids. I use them regularly now and am very happy with them. It has been an excellent experience. By far the best ENT doctor in Pune! I will recommend to everybody.

My experience with you was very satisfying as I was not getting proper treatment from any other ENT specialist. My one ear was blocked for many years which was having dry fungus, and other ear was having wet fungus. You have treated my both the years and cleaned them very smoothly extracting whatever inside my ears. I am feeling very light n free now. Also you have assured me that my both the ears will get fine soon.I had booked an appointment from practo on 27th Feb 2021 at 6 pm, which then preponed to 4.40 and they have informed me over phone. Dr Sumit listened my problem very carefully. They value for my time and understand my problem and based on these conditions they have cleaned my ears even if they were in so hurry which I think the best quality in you as you have not kept me in that pain when we come to you with the many positive hopes from the so long distance. And the Dr like you don't disappoint us on all that nodes. Also Dr called me to consult after 4 days when my ear report will come and they will give me another setting of cleaning, at that time I will be like in heaven because I know Dr will treat me properly and make me feel good n happy. Previously many doctors have told me that there is nothing in your right ear it is perfectly fine, but this dr has understood my problem and clean both my ears.

My daughter has been having nose bleeds since the beginning of the lockdown. We were apprehensive about going to a hospital or clinic in this situation. Initially we managed at home with house remedies but the concern was always there. So we made the decision of going to Prudent Clinic. We were able to consult the doctor, Dr, Sumit Bhatti who laid to rest our fears, examined, explained first aid for nose bleeds and gave treatment after which we were back home soon. My daughter is comfortable now and she has not had any nose bleed since then. Dr. Bhatti also explained that if there is any nose bleed in the future, we can contact him anytime on the phone for immediate assistance at multiple hospitals in the city any time of the day to night. He has emergency back-up with students, assistants at multiple major hospitals in the city. So we are now confident of managing my daughters nose bleeds if the need arises.

we have a wonderful healthcare system here in the UK (the NHS) but unfortunately, it's not always easy to access one's own ENT Doctor when one needs one. Hence the relief in being able to consult someone like Dr. Sumit Bhatti Whenever I require his advice. I will be going back to United Kingdom soon, but I will be very happy to find doctors of Dr Sumit Bhatti’s caliber in United Kingdom. Dr Sumit Bhatti answered my question well, and I was reassured by his responses. I now have a clear idea of what I need to do next in terms of treatment and an idea of how long to expect to see results. It is a terrible thing to suffer from dizziness, the loss of confidence and dullness, difficulty in thinking that stays for days after. He was in control of the situation that I have faced for the first time in my life. Apparently, this dizziness has been subsiding without the use of medication that I was prescribed by my local doctor. Just simple exercises that I have to repeat and to take care that I do not hurt myself by falling. It is quite strenuous as he had to lift and guide me through each step. Yet he did not seem to mind and made me do the steps until I was confident of doing the steps on my own and also understanding the basic principles behind these exercises. He also had this interesting device to reset the tiny crystals in my inner ear that had got displaced. More importantly, he ruled out any brain stroke within a few minutes with a set of tests. Thankfully, no MRI Scan as I am claustrophobic. I cannot get into that machine and it is too loud in that cramped cylinder. I think I was more scared of the MRI Scan than the consequences of not doing one.What a relief to not being forced into it. Dr. Bhatti also had demo videos on his phone that helped me. I shall be following up in a week by which time I should be much better. The neck collar also helps. Dr, Bhatti has also prescribed preventive measures. This is very thoughtful. This is the way medicine should be practised.
