Dr. Heroor had performed left radical nephrectomy on my mother (61yr) at Fortis Mulund on 16th Jan 2017. It was 5 cm tumour in her left kidney of malignant nature as proven by biopsy. *** ****** *** ********* *** ******* **** *** ********** ** **** * **** my mother had minimum pain, complications, side-effects so far.(touch wood). She had a minor kidney stone also in her other kidney.
Dr. Heroor's ideal approach was to remove the kidney stone from other kidney and renal scan thereafter to ensure health of soon to be solitary kidney after planned radical nephrectomy and advised us RIRS (minimal invasive kidney stone removal surgery) from other uro-surgeon.
We consulted Dr. Heroor quite a few times before the surgery and asked questions repeating in each session. But doc answered us very calmly, filling in us with medical info in layman words, friendly manner.

As soon as my father was operated upon, he said that my father has taken very well to the surgery and that after a brief while in the recovery room he would be shifted to the ward.I insisted that my father be kept in the ICU for a couple of days to avoid any possible infections. He gently looked at me, smiled and said, no need whatsoever for it and further said he(my father) would recover faster if he would see our faces all the time and assured no infections would harm as adequate precautions were taken for that.

As soon as you enter his cabin he welcomes you with a smile which makes you feel comfortable. On proper investigation he conveys the facts and his digonosis and also explains what is going to be the course of the suggested treatment. He brings to ease the patient and their family who are tensed.
Throughout the course of the treatment he has the same approach which reduces the stress. He has got an excellent team of nurses and administrators staff who are sensitive as well as friendly giving a great experience.
