38 week's pregnancy
Hello doctor, I am 38 weeks pregnant with AFI of 8.08 cm and baby weight of 3 kg. Doctor have prescribed argpreg and astymin forte and again get scan done after 2 days along with Doppler. If AFI doesn't increase she will induce. Baby is very active and I wanted to get natural pains. I am very confused. Please guide.

AFI s less , however you cn still wait for natural labour for a week if it remains the same in scan after 2 days. Provided you dont hv any other complications of pregnancy . Rest consult with your gynaecologist regarding merits and demerits of elective induction of labour at term and decide accordingly

But AFI is less if amniotic fluid is not increased then induction is compulsory.Induction is nothing like natural pain only but we are using medicine .So don't worry may be you will get pain in between and deliver normal.
