How long to wear abdominal binder after open colectomy(27.03.2019)...Also plz tell when will I be able to resume doing exercises...When can I travel in flights and climb up stairs...plz tell

You have to use the binder for 3 months of it is a laparotomy and not laparoscopy You can start doing exercises after 6 weeks Traveling is not an issue And climbing stairs after 6 weeks

It based on ur previous fitness also to decide the rehab program , kindly assess with ur physio consultant and decide . Since 17 mostly ur core muscles mostly toned so u can start rehab programm after one month from the date of suture removal till that do ur daily like activity and walking from JK
