Anxiety and depression
I am sad and restless all the time, unable to sleep, unable to focus on my life or career. I try telling myself that this is just a phase.. But it's been there for over a year now. I also get suicidal thoughts. Though I know I am against it, I won't deny the fact that the thoughts about ending my life cross my mind.

Hello Friend, Good that you are seeking a help here. All the mentioned symptoms are sign of stress and anxiety in your mind. May be work life balance or career  or relationship related stress is causing such anxious and negative thoughts into your mind. Feeling low, having crying spells, sleep and appetite disturbances, and difficulty in concentration and attention are some of the signs of Depression. Consult a Psychiatrist for a detailed assessment. It is likely with medication and counselings the symptoms will improve. If you are feeling suicidal or hopeless consult a Psychiatrist immediately.
