My mother is suffering from lower back pain since 2 year..r..we have done MRI and the gap in her vertebrae has lessened because of old age and wear n year.She did physiotherapy also but it did not help.Few doctors have suggested surgery but we don't want to do that.Please suggest a good doctor and advice what should we do about it.Thank you.

If it is more than 60 percent compression with stenosis then yiu have to get the surgery. Results of surgery very good if done by qualified doctor. Please post the film's of MRI so that I can comment exactly if surgery is required or not
