Bera test failed
Hi, my 6 month old baby failed in bera test. As per report 2000 click sounds at 90db and 100db failed to produce v wave in both ears.however the paitent was not fully relaxed and asleep during test. Skin impedence was under normal limit. What are the medical treatment available and at what age it can be done. What will be the expenses in doing that. Please help. Thanks in advance

If a child’s bera has not elicited waveform at 90 DB it means child is unable to listen to sounds which are as loud as when spoken through a loudspeaker. If you have doubts regarding the way the test was done please get it done once again. The child nerve of hearing is weak, this will require to be assessed for cochlear implant candidacy This can cost anywhere between 6-15 laks per ear. Many state governments across India sponsor such surgeries. Kindly meet a specialist who is in cochlear implant field
