Black gums means presence of melanin pigmentation in the gums which is a natural process....it doesn't signify unhealthy gums.... Scaling is not an option to get rid of the black gums. Laser depigmentation can be done to get rid of it for cosmetic reasons.

This is melanin pigmentation over your gums which can never go by scaling or polishing. If at all u want to get rid of this pigmentation there are treatment options available for it which is done either by lasers or through a minor surgical procedure for depigmentation

Such Pigmentation of gum never goes way by scaling or bleaching procedure. You need to accept that fact. Mouthwash hexidine once  on Every 2 days after meal you can use to maintain proper oral hygiene. Brush teeth or rinse thoroughly after 15 minutes followed by use of mouthwash.
