No it does not exactly burn calories.
Although it gives your metabolism a push so that is a benefit. Add a little cinnamon or lemon to it so it also helps detoxify your body.
Warm water wKes up your organs and hydrating the body as first thing in the morning improves metabolism.
You need to eat negative calorie foods(foods that need more calories to be digested in body, raw salads and fruits and whole grains and nuts) and exercise for sure to burn calories.
