Chest pain - smoker
I have been smoking for a while now (couple years) and I have very recently developed mild pain in my heart noticeable when I'm lying down. I am pretty sure both are correlated since I have been smoking a lot this week. Is this temporary or is there a serious underlying Condition. Also which panel of tests should I undergo like, cancer checkup? I do want to quit but I can't stand gums and patches don't work for me

Smoking causes variety of diseases and at early stage there would a bronchitis pattern. You just need to quit smoking and all the things are going to recover sooner. You may undergo spirometry test to evaluate lung function but don’t be assured if it’s comes within normal range as initially that could be normal in most of peoples.
