Hey! Cod liver oil are a source of omega 3. It is a source of essential fats and has many beneficial effects on the body. It also contains some amount of vitamin D, but is not a preferred source for individuals who are deficient. If you want to consume cod liver oil for its omega 3 benefits, you can go ahead. Try it for a month, see how it suits your body.
Next Steps
For vitamin D. 1st check your serum vitamin D levels. If they are substantially low, you can go for a Vitamin D supplementation.
Health Tips
Expose your skin to direct sunlight for atleast half an hour everyday. This is the best source of vitamin D.
