Do i have herpes or it's false positive?
I have recently tested for STD panel and my hsv 1+2 igm was 1.38 and igg was less than 0.5 indicating negative.
I want to know is this confirmation that i have the infection? Or is it something that can be raised by other conditions as well?
Please guide me. I had sex(protected) with a girl before my results came, and now she is crying snd panicking that i ruined her life. I understand this was a stupid mistake from our end to have the intercourse, but condom was properly worn. What are her chance of contracting it? And can this be a false positive? Or can some other viral flu like cause it as well? For example last month i had a viral flue which ended up with bronchitis and long term cough. I am not sure if that could cause it? I don't have any symptoms. Nor did i get involved with any sexual activity with any girl recently in past 5-6 years.
