Faint linear corneal scar
I have old central faint linear scar on cornea.dr examine my cornea and tell me this scar is normal.why he did not recommend surgery.

So good,..that means all is ok...generally scar removal from cornea is not done, in extreme cases, may be laser to make it faint.

If the scar doesn't affect your vision then surgery is not recommended.

Hello. Generally surgery for corneal scar is indicated when the scar is dense (more white and easily noticeable by yourself and others), centrally located and disturbing your vision. As in your case, all three indications are ruled out, surgery is not advisable as it may make your cornea thinner and irregular. Forget about scar and stay happy!

Hello Sir..There are lot many incidental findings on normal examination of the eye..if the faint scar is not causing any active inflammation of the eye and it's an old issue and if not causing any trouble with vision then nothing to worry about.
