What are FML eye drops? My 12 year old son was prescribed FML eye drops as he had an eye injury while playing. Are there any long term side effects to using this medicine?

Long term use may be a risk factor for glaucoma especially if you are steroid responder
Use it as per your doctor's guidance

FML contains flurometholone which is used for long term because it has minimal side effects but there is no medicine which has no side effects ,use it if necessary otherwise stop it ,I am not prescribing you any eye drops because you have not described problems in detail, with regards
It is a mild steroid but mostly used in Allergic and inflammatory conditions.
Though mild steroid frequent installations for long term is not recommended.
