Frequent Tonsils
I am suffering from acute tonsils every month. I am taking medicine for tonsils for 5 days every month. The reason for tonsils which I saw is taking bath with cold water, taking bath at evening, season change, eating panipuri and Chinese. Whenever I do the above, i get acute tonsils - pain in tonsils, swollen, difficulty in eating, fever and cold. What should I do? Do I need to remove tonsils?

Mam, if you are getting it more than 5-6episodes/year, better get it removed surgically. Theres no point in keeping the tonsils now, its only going to be a nuisance. I’d suggest u to get Coblation Tonsillectomy done(less pain post-surgery, no bleeding, better recovery). But first, consult an ent doctor, let him have a look at your throat make the final call.
