your tooth may become dead over the period of days if not you need to get the heat test done , secondly the xray has to be taken for seeing any fracture in the tooth , if all is fine you can simply go for the composite filling.. bridgewaydental.com
Next Steps
visit ur dentist for these tests n xray

Namaskaram, The first thing which anybody notices about you is your smile. A broken tooth definitely compromises that. A root canal treatment is done when the tooth loses its vitality, if sensitivity or pain is absent until 24 hours then a composite restoration should take your mind off it. A x-ray will definitely augment your physician to rule out the odds. You don't have to do the treatment, your dentist will do it for you. Team Shambhala.

Kindly upload x ray. If x ray shows fracture line away from pulp then composite filling can be done. RCT is done if the fracture line is very close to the pulp or touching pulp. Pulp is live tissue of tooth. Even if there is no pain and x ray shows pulp involvement, then RCT has to be done. Traumatic cases undergo cystic changes without any pain. Visit dentist for clinical examination and x ray.

Usually this type of small fractures can be managed with composite build up But the fracture line distance from pulp has to be evaluated by x Ray . If so exposed rct will be mandatory.
