HbA1c Normal but Fasting is High
I am 28 year old female. My parents and brother are diabetic. I therefore did a routine checkup myself. My results came as HbA1c is 5 but fasting blood sugar is 104.8. Due to some problems with the testing lab they didn't do my post food sugar level..so I don't know that value. If HBA1c is normal, should I consider it pre-diabetes?

Going by the ADA classification, you have Pre-Diabetes. But going by the WHO classification, you are normal. Now, don’t rely on one single fasting value. Repeat after 2 weeks and see the values.
Next Steps
Fasting blood sugar after 2 weeks

HBA1C is 3 months average blood sugar, so it won’t show the exact current values. Ur fasting level is normal, it should be less than 110. Keep checking blood sugar every month
