High blood pressure- 170/100
My BP was coming high from last 4-5 days and since then Iam taking stress and feeling anxious that this never happens before why now. My lipid profile, HBa1c, cbc count and thyroid. All are in normal range even the ecg. Clinical Doctor advised me to have telmisartan-40 plus almodipine5mg for 4 days and monitoring the BP. BP is gradually going down everyday but my concern is I don't want to be on medications lifelong and permanent. What could be the other reason for BP coming high? Some days it's just anxiety. Please help. Now my BP is 138/90 . Also I live in higher altitude and it's cold here

As you have mentioned that you live in high altitude, that is one of the prime response of high blood pressure. You have to take a salt restricted diet, along with  regular exercise, this will certainly help you to reduce your blood pressure. Amlodipine 5 mg one daily. Drink lots of water. Regular exercise. Salt restricted diet. Follow the above you will certainly get better results.

It would be because of stress. You need to check bp after resting for half an hour. Don't take coffee or tea prior to getting your bp checked.

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.
