My mother has high tsh 16.67 . She took 100mcg eltroxin . She put on too much weight and constipation with this situation. She is 58 years old.Give suggestions for how to decrease tsh level. Waiting for reply .

Hi there!! Thanks for the information provided. Her tsh level is undoubtedly high do check the dosage of the eltroxin once with concerned dr. Also at this point along with medication she needs a proper diet which will teach her healthy lifestyle for long term. Thyroid can't be cured as it is disorder not disease so we can not do anything about it but she can definitely manage a good lifestyle. at this age forcing her to do physical activity can just more hamper the case.
