This is Dr Hitin Mathur, foot and ankle specialist from New Delhi. As per your symptoms you seem to be suffering from a condition called plantar fasciitis in which the fascia on the underside of your foot become inflamed. This may arise due to a tight Achilles tendon, flat foot or even those who have long standing jobs or jogers wearing inadequate footwear. Raised uric acid, low vitaminD hypothyroidism also contribute to it. Treatment varies from stretching exercises for achilles tendon and flantar fascia, cushioned footwear, wearing of night splints to prevent calf tightness, orthotics for flat foot to even plaster casts in refractory cases. I would suggest that you see an orthopedic surgeon specialising in foot and ankle for evaluation and advice regarding management that best suits your needs.
