Is intermittent fasting safe?
Hi, I am 39, female.I am around 5 ft & weigh 49 kgs.I have been on intermittent fasting 16:8 to reduce weight & to detoxify for 7 days now & I feel fit. My eating window is 1pm-9pm. I get up at 6, exercise for 1hr30min ( 5k skips, 50 suryanamaskaars) and avoid deep fried foods. My diet starts with a cup of milk with 3 spoons chia seeds and pomegranate. Later I have a chapatti and 1/2 bowl starch free rice. In the evening, i have sprouts and bhuna chana for snacks and for dinner, again I have either 1 chapatti and some rice or 2 chapattis.I also have 3/4th scoop of whey powder in water.I don't feel like binging when my eating window opens & I feel energetic while exercising, however, since there are many people who warn about the dire consequences of skipping breakfast, I wanted to be sure if I was going the right way and if I should ignore these advices. I also wanted to know for how long should i continue with this fasting when I'm targeting weight of 45kg. Can it be assumed forever ?
