Knee femur fracure
My knee got fractured in march 2016, while playing cricket match. it was femur fracture. since then pain has not gone from the knee. even i fee some vibration in the knee. as per the latest MRI done 4 months back dr. said knee is ok but i am afraid of this pain because its been 1 year now. sometimes sharp pain occurs.

As one year has passed, the fracture would have healeld for sure. You have not described exactly about the surgery, fracture site and the type of fracture, it gives a better idea.Physiotherapy to increase the strength was done  after surgery??.. If not, that is the main problem as it increase the strength, co-ordination, range as well balance, it decreases the pain and inflammation.
Next Steps
Go to a physiotherapist.. Vigrous an gradual exercises for almost 2-3 months are needed.

Hello there,,,,,any pain which persisits for more than 3 months must be looked into....however in your case the history of your trauma and the procedure you underwent to have the fracture cured needs to be known..... please do answer a few questions... 1)whr exactly was the femur fractured? 2)what procedure you underwent ie did some implants were put or was it just a plaster slab managed 3)how quickly you started you rehabilation after removing the cast. There could be many reasons for your knee pain...may or maynot be related to your previous fracture.

please share your previous pre & post fracture xrays and mri.....and your recent mri report. get a calcium,uric acid,vit B12 test done. Regards & take care.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

hi since its a year now the fracture would have definitely healed, however a little more details would be needed on how the fracture was fixed, also a look at the mri will clear out the other structures that can be a reason of pain
