Low back pain for 05 years
Ive been having low back pain and that pain radiates to both leg for 5 years. I have done MRI scan. The MRI report is given below. MRI protocol: Sagittal SE T1,FSE T2. Axial SE T1,FSE T2. Impression: # Degenerative Disc Disease at L4-5 and L5-S1 Levels. # L4-5 and L5-S1 levels: Anterior Epidural Fat Indentation/Spinal Canal and Neural Foraminal Stenosis due to Disc protrusion ,Posterolateral Osteophytes and Facet Hypertrophy.

The pain that you are getting is from a combination of wear and tear of the vertebrae and also do to the fact joint problems. There also appears to be some mild compression of the nerves as they come out of the Spinal canal. If you do not have any pain going down the leg, then there is nothing to worry about the nerve compression. For your back pain, you need to start physiotherapy. You will also need to take painkillers to help it. There are no procedureswhich can guarantee relief from back pain which has happened due to wear and tear between the vertebrae. For the facet joint issues there are injections that can be done or other procedures that can be done to help give you pain relief. You have to see an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon to help with this.
