Dear Practo user, As you mentioned low backache while sitting for long period . This can occur due to loading of spine structure specially disc or muscular stiffness . If it is disc it will not radiate to leg in initial days but gradually it will radiate in some time . If muscle is the culprit then erector spinae and quadratus lumborum muscles stretching and strengthening should help . You can consult Physiotherapist for exercises and observe for few days . If it is helping then continue doing so and avoid sitting for long , this will offload your spine . If Physiotherapy doesn’t help , then consult a doctor ( interventional pain specialist or Orthopaedician trained in spine ) , for assessment of cause and taking care of your problem .
