My dad has bipoler. He had a manic episode. He seems much calmer but is still holding on to delusions. Does that mean he is still manic? He is on zyprexa. How long do these manic episodes typically last.

Typically a manic episode lasts for 3-4months. If your dad is having delusion of grandiose associated with other symptoms like acting on them, increased activity, decreased need for sleep etc then he might still be having mania.
Next Steps
Adding a mood stabilizer drug like lithium or sodium valproate may help.
