Hi, Thank you for these questions. 1. Mental health refers to your emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Good mental health means feeling good about yourself, being able to handle life's ups and downs, and having positive relationships with others. It's about feeling happy, confident, and able to cope with whatever comes your way. 2. It's important because it affects how you think, feel, and act, impacting every part of your life from relationships to work performance. Taking care of your mental health ensures a better quality of life and overall well-being. 3. To overcome challenges in your life, consider reaching out to a Psychologist to start with. 4. The right person to seek help from depends on your specific needs and preferences. Generally, mental health professionals like psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, or counselors are trained to provide support and guidance for various mental health concerns. Your general physician can also be a good starting point for guidance and referrals. Ultimately, it's about finding someone you trust and feel comfortable opening up to.

Mental Health can be defined as state of mind in which you, your significant other / spouse, members of the family, friends, and society at large are in equilibrium, maintaining mutually beneficial relationship. There is no resentment, reclusiveness, remorse, regrets, rage, etc., in your thought process. In addition to this state of mind, you are in a position to feel better, perform better and are motivated to grow (be happy in general). Mental Health is so important that its value is realized after we lose our mental health. Simply putting, an individual will be out of that above mentioned equilibrium with all stakeholders in one's own life. At the nascent levels many of the mental health related problems (if not most of the mental health problems) can be thwarted / dealt with. At the clear onset, one must consult qualified Counselling Psychologist, when the need arises to measure or subject that troubled person for any assessment then a Clinical Psychologist; and eventually a Psychiatrist when Psychopharmacotherapy is required. The most insurmountable challenge faced by all is not knowing when is the correct time to approach any of these three types of mental health care professionals.
