Random lack of emotion & sudden outburst
For about 2-3 years now, I randomly enter this state where I can't quite explain, lasting from a few hours to entire weeks. It's like a lack of emotion, but not quite, there's this weird feeling of emptiness I can't quite grasp. Also, on occasion, a surge of negative emotions burst out, I can't quite explain it as well, as I don't recall any reason why I should be experiencing negative emotions.

Its just you thoughts which is making you feel empty.  Past experience of same feeling is getting carried forward and you are still feeling the same thing again and again. There is reason for everything its just that some time we figure out the reason and some time we cant, and this failure of not knowing the reason for what we are feeling. Just accept the fact that some time we dont know the reason but somewhere back of the mind it is affecting us.
Next Steps
Consult a psychologist as soon as possible
Health Tips
