You can go for a MRI..it not only gives a idea of bone but also surrounding musculotendinous structures which might also be pain generators.

If still in doubt u can proceed with CT scan which can give conclusive evidence .. how ever it involves radiation exposure... Kindly be judicious in carrying out investigation and don't get it done unless your doctor does not ask for it..
