Dear practo user Don't panic. Search for specialist orthodontist in native town where you are going to stay. You can continue same treatment with proper consultation there also.

Look for another orthodontist at your home town before reaching there. So you will have an idea whether you would be getting another orthodontist to reach out also or not. Carry all the details with you of your Ortho treatment from starting. So that the new orthodontist doesn't have any problem in assessing your case or you don't require to repeat any of the radiographs which were already taken for your case. Talk to your present orthodontist and convey the details to him/her. They would provide all the details they are having for continuation of your treatment under other orthodontist in your hometown.
Health Tips
first of all check out the availability of another orthodontist at your hometown through your relatives or online.

Well as an Orthodontist, i can suggest you to consult another Orthodontist there at your home town, if you really have to leave Chennai anyway, if it is just a month or two in your treatment. Because of the Pandemic dentists all over the world are taking utmost precautions. You can request your dentist to see your case and access the situaition for betterment of all.
Next Steps
Consult an Orthodontist in your home town.
