Toothache and mouth n gums are swollen
I have a toothache since the last 3 days.. I have a half broken teeth since the last 3 years but have never had any pain.. The gums are swollen near that area and the right side of my face near the jaw is swollen.. I took hifenac P since the last 3 days and the pain has reduced but the swelling is there.

Hi. As per your chief complaint, there seems to be a dental abscess (infection in the root/s ) w.r.t the concerned tooth. You must commence with a course of antibiotic along with the Hifenec P. Antibiotic will prevent the spread of infection (swelling) any further . Any antibiotic of your choice is advisable. The safest in most cases being Amoxicillin. Rx, Cap Amoxicillin (500mg)- twice/ day *5 days Tab Hifenac P - only in case of pain.

The tooth looks to be carious, an xray is advisable, Nd can be saved accordingly, for symptomatic relief please take an antibiotic(augmentin 625)along with hifenac p,nd take the dentist appointment as early as possible.
