My mother age 62 is feeling flu like symptoms from last two days , Malaria and widal test done doctor days its typhoid positive , should covid test also do ?

Please post the reports. Better to get COVID test given the situation and symptoms because she is elderly it is better to be safe. Is she diabetic? Any history of heart disease?
