Weight gain after water fast
Hi, I am on a 10 day water diet. Currently on day 5. I cannot break the fast before 10 days because I'm highly determined. I am very scared to gain all the weight back in a very small span of time. Please tell me how to maintain the weight I lose. I know I will regain 2-3kgs back but I don't want to regain more than that and deal with an appearance I wouldn't like. What and how should I eat? Also, Will OMAD (one meal a day) be beneficial after the fast ends?

Hi, thank you for your enquiry. Fat loss is a gradual process. There is no quick fix approach. Following a healthy diet which has optimal amounts of  first class proteins, reduced carbohydrates  & healthy fats along with a structured exercise program that is balanced with weight training and cardio will surely help. Besides these factors, we need to take into account that there are no hormonal imbalances that can impede your rate of fat loss. For personalised diet and exercise guidance please contact us.

You must understand body runs on nutrition. Carbs, protein, fat, vitamin minerals water. Any of the nutrients deprivation leads to deficiency and outcome is worst and expensive to handle. Your body needs nutrition and you must provide it with balanced diet including all food groups. You need to find out by yourself wether you need skiny pale deficient body structure or the tonned, bright skin and immunity.

Why are you doing a water fast? This kind of weight loss is not going to do you any good. Food is not your enemy. Bad lifestyle is. So you need to correct the underlying issue that has caused weight gain not torture your body with such fasts. A 2-3 day long fast is ok, anything longer than that can be dangerous as well.
Next Steps
please get a professional to plan something sustainable and long term.
Health Tips
never ever fall for crash diets

Firstly, you have taken the wrong path to lose weight. This way, there is no guarantee how much weight you will regain. There is a possibility that you regain all of it or even slightly more than that. The question about what you should eat should have been the first thing to be addressed. Besides, in the situation of a lockdown, this approach is not at all wise. You should rather focus on becoming healthier than taking random measures to lose weight. Please take reasonable and valid approach to achieve your target under proper guidance.

Hi! Doing a water diet will help you lose weight quickly, but leave you with a lot of deficiencies, gastric issues and possible weakness and indigestion. ‘One meal a day’ May also lead to the above mentioned problems, plus these are not sustainable and practical diets. Because of this, you may gain more weight than what you initially lost, once you get back to normal eating ! A more effective and safe way to lose weight is to follow a simple diet which is low in carbohydrates and has lots of fibre. A few minutes of daily exercises at home will also keep you fit and prevent muscle loss and loose skin- which is a side effect of doing crash diets ! You will see more permanent results, and this is easy to maintain.
Next Steps
Consult on practo.com for detailed diet counselling, gradually break the water fast by taking small snacks like fruits / 1 Roti/ 1 cup of dal and other light foods.
Health Tips
Stay away from such crash diets , fad diets and quick weight loss tricks
