Weight gain and watery poop
My little one is gonna turn 1 in 15days. We started solids for her slowly by end of 7 months. She is breastfed on demand..she got fever n flu sometime back, feb end, so she was on ebf for more than 10 days..Now we are slowly eating solids.. last 3 days I m noticing no solid poop...Only watery even if she's on solids.. plus shes showing symptoms of teething like drooling, biting, etc..But this is 3rd time in 3 months that such symptoms are seen but no signs of tooth... She is an active baby touchwood and eats everything offered without much fuss. . Today we weighed her. She is 8.1 kgs. Hasn't gained weight since we last weighed her on Jan 29th. Her birth weight was 2.6kgs.where am I going wrong... Worried more about her poop than weight... Please suggest.

Dear caring Mom your child seems to be going on nicely If loose stools are there then how many in a day has the number increased if not then nothing to worry Though the weight gain is good but if it’s static try giving her some energy dense foods

Hi.. First of all, congratulations bcoz your baby is gaining good weight. The weight for a child at  one year  should be three times the birth weight, which has occurred in your baby When you are introducing new food substances at this stage, start them one by one.  For example if you start giving one food substance, wait for about 3 days till you introduce one more type of food to the baby. This helps to know and identify which food the child is tolerating and which he is not..so that can be avoided for sometime. Some loose stools and drooling can occur during teething. If the child is active, playful , accepting feeds well, and passing urine atleast 5 to 6 times a day, and watery stools are less than 3 to 4 times per day, - then absolutely no need to worry now
