1. What is nausea?
Nausea is a condition when you feel an urge to vomit. That feeling of uneasiness in the stomach before vomiting is called as nausea.

Among the numerous causes of nausea motion-sickness/seasickness, food poisoning, peptic ulcer, strong odours, pregnancy, stress, overeating, and brain injuries are the commonest causes. Nausea may be medicine-induced too e.g. after chemotherapy or rifampcin.

4. What food stuffs should be avoided in case of nausea?
One must not have very acidic juices like orange and grape juice. You should avoid very spicy and oily food, and have a bland and easy to digest meal. Avoid warm and hot food; the smell from warm food can trigger nausea. Avoid drinking water during meals.
5. What foods can relieve nausea?
Sweet-smelling food, candies, and fruit juices can prevent nausea. Soft and bland foods can relieve nausea to a certain extent. Sweetened cold drinks and soda too can relieve the feeling of nausea.
