Visited Dr. Manjunath Haridas (GastroIntestinal Surgeon) For Trauma Surgery
Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for moneyWait time
Words are short while writing this note to express our humble gratitude to Dr. Manjunath Haridas. It's about a fatal road traffic accident (RTA) of a 27-year-old young man, one of our family members, in Whitefield, Bangalore. His friends have taken him to Emergency of Manipal Hospitals Whitefield (MHW) on accident night. The patient's right side lower abdominal, and pelvic were severely damaged, and the situation was critical.
The following early morning, Dr. Manjunath Haridas received SOS from the hospital and rushed to the operation theater (OT) because there was a requirement for emergency surgery to save the life. Unfortunately, injuries were more critical than estimated from the X-ray, CT & other lab reports.
Dr. Haridas not only assessed the actual damages inside the body but also restructured the badly deformed areas as much as possible and prevented further deterioration in the first and foremost surgery of the patient. He created the opportunity, foundation, and pathway to act on saving the life of a critically injured trauma patient.
Easier said than done. Imagine a surgeon, with no accurate information about the amount of damage inside the body, with no conventional surgery plan, enters into the operation theater, spends hours, and comes out after restraining the out-of-control situation. Such an exceptional attempt needs knowledge beyond the textbooks, experience beyond exposure, and excellence beyond competence. The best example of a surgeon and a professional with the above qualities is Dr. Manjunath Haridas; he identifies problems, figures out the best solutions, plans the treatment well, and, more importantly, executes carefully and smoothly based on the patients' response. Our patient has undergone a series of surgeries by Dr. Haridas during the long course of treatment. A couple of them were on thin ice but performed fair and square. Dr. Haridas can establish a conventional solution to any non-conventional problem.
Also, it is challenging for an emotionally broken family to handle such a traumatic situation. After Bhagwan (the God), next comes a doctor. In addition to all his professional excellence, Dr. Haridas is more than humble, caring, and friendly; he is a person of high integrity, ethics, and values. Human potential is four-dimensional - Body, Mind, Heart, and Spirit. Dr. Manjunath Haridas uses his full potential in all the dimensions for his patient and family.
We wish him a happy, healthy, and long life to serve and save many needy lives.
If you are a patient of Dr. Manjunath Haridas, trust us, and thank God that you are in the best of hands.

I am writing this review to share our disappointing *** *********** experience with Dr. Gururaj Biradar at Manipal Whitefield. My 9-year-old son was suffering from a severe and continuous dry cough, and our encounter with Dr. Biradar was nothing short of disastrous.
We initially consulted several pediatricians and later a pulmonologist at Manipal Whitefield due to the emergency nature of my son's condition. He was admitted to the hospital for 4 days, during which Dr. Biradar prescribed steroids to suppress the cough. However, this temporary solution only masked the symptoms; every time my son stopped taking the steroids, the cough would return as before.
After discharge, Dr. Biradar prescribed medication for 3 days, but my son's cough resumed immediately after completing the course. We were ****** ** return to the emergency department at Manipal Whitefield multiple times. Each time, Dr. Biradar's response was to prescribe more steroids—first for another week and then for 21 days with a moderate dose. Despite these repeated treatments, my son's cough persisted.

Visited Dr. Abhay Kumar (Medical Oncologist)
Dr. Abhay Kumar(Oncology Medical expert) is truly an angel & It's really important to have a doctor who is "there" for patient and makes me confident I'm in good hands. The best part of Dr. Abhay Kumar is his friendly nature talks with my mother, make her happy in all possible way & make my mother so positive to live more and more. Under Dr Abhay Kumar she is really happy and great treatment at the stage-4 cancer. Thank you so so so much for being extremely caring and considerate during this hard time for my mom going through cancer 4th stage. His bedside are so professional and you deserve a standing ovation for answering all of our concerns/questions. He took the time to listen, and hear me out. He is really a blessing to this facility and I would give him triple 5 stars!!!!! God bless Thank you again Dr. Abhay Kumar!!!!
I am writing here this letter of commendation with unfettered total admiration and support of Dr. Abhay Kumar- Oncology Medical(Manipal Hospitals) . After being treatment with advanced prostate cancer, I had my initial meeting with Dr. Abhay Kumar(Oncology medical) and proceeded to my scheduled treatment of chemotherapy and this doctor with profound expertise and integrity, each operating under a collaborative fountainhead of knowledge, care, and genuine simpatico. His support & his staff always providing a positive and friendly daily contact relationship.
From the moment I first walked into Manipal center with some confusions but once I meet with Dr. Abhay Kumar, I was treated with kindness, respect and professional distinction. As I would learn from the many hours I spent in the hospitals of other patients, the level of one’s insurance or specific carrier does not affect the manner in which you are treated by Dr. Abhay Kumar, in fact, the care received and administered is blind to any bureaucratic hindrances. This is a key distinction for any patient, no matter of what socioeconomic origin. Many patients choose to have treatment outside of the India due to the nightmarish pitfalls ingrained in the medical and insurance systems stateside. Manipal Hospital under Dr. Abhay Kumar completely altered my opinion related to medical care here, and I can say I have never seen or experienced such positive and effective cross pollinated practice and treatment under one institutional roof anywhere worldwide.
There is a mystery as to how long any of us will sustain our lives, and I believe the time invested in treatment is a shared benefit derived from the patients(my mother) with whom you are surrounded and the doctors who guide your path to a successful outcome of healing & Dr Abhay Kumar is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of my mother's treatment, but also, he is lovely to speak with at every appointment & complete stay during each chemotherapy and during all visits. It’s rare to find such doctor in Bangalore area that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care & outstanding knowledge in Oncology Medical & he also work with hospital to give you the best concessions and the best cost for chemotherapy.
I am Really very thankful from Heart to Dr. Abhay Kumar and Manipal Hospital for having successfully & painless Chemotherapy of my mother with his excellent practical knowledge, using modern regime for Chemotherapy , highly specialized in Oncology medical. I would definitely recommend him(Dr. Abhay Kumar- Oncology Medical) to all my family, friends & all over the world people. Thank you so much Dr. Abhay Kumar.

*** ** *** **** ******* **** ********* **** *** ** ** *****
It started exactly 6 months ago when I found out that my voice was getting weaker. After a few days, I started to notice that my voice became fragile, hoarse, and fatigued. So, I consulted a nearby ENT doctor, after doing all the tests, he said its Spasmodic Dysphonia (yeah, I too didn't know it then) and he told me that I may not be going to get my voice back permanently. I was so shocked to hear that because I was expecting a normal throat infection which could be resolved in a month. I wasn't convinced by that so I visited so many hospitals in Chennai and Hyderabad. Since there is no swelling, pain, or anything, all the doctors are not taking it seriously and they are just giving medicine for GERD and Cold.
It's been 2 months and still, my voice is like that only, so I started panicking and became so depressed. Every day waking to see whether my voice improved or not and finding out it didn't was making me so sad day by day. One day, I came across a doctor who specialized in these voice problems and after diagnosis, he said that it was Sulcus Vocalis (yeah, yeah, I didn't know this one too) and there is no medicine for it and surgery is the only option for that problem. I was happy because now I found a way but my father asked what happens if it fails, he said that we can't say anything now. So we consulted other doctors about the surgery and they too said it was Sulcus Vocalis and surgery is the only option for it and there is no medicine but bear the consequences in mind that you may not get your original voice and even if it succeeds now you may get respiratory problems in future. Now, all my hopes of getting my voice back died right there, this time it hit me so hard that I don't even want to consult other doctors anymore.
A month passed, it's been 3 months now and still, my voice is like that only. This time my father made me visit this Manipal Hospital Whitefield in Bangalore where I consulted Dr. Vijay Rangachari, after diagnosis he said it was neither Spasmodic Dysphonia nor Sulcus Vocalis, it was just a nerve strain and it may take some 3-6 months to resolve your problem and I assure you, you will get your voice back. I didn't believe it at first because I consulted 12 doctors so far and used their medicine still, I am here. So, I used his medicine for a month and still no improvement, now I am getting second thoughts about him and my father convinced me to give him another month and this time to my surprise, it worked and I started to notice an improvement in my voice and after next visit, my voice is becoming so close to normal.
After getting treated by him for 3 months, I got my voice back, now If I reflect on what happened is that Dr. Vijay Rangachari diagnosed my problem correctly because he has seen it from another perspective and treated it the right way with care. Other doctors just hadn't diagnosed my problem correctly wanted to do surgery only, they didn't think about what happens to me if it fails.
Now, after 6 months of agony, my voice is normal and my life is normal, thanks to Dr.Vijay Rangachari and I am genuinely so glad I consulted him and got treated by him.
Voice problems are so under-looked in our country and if you have any such problems, just give him a try as I did and I bet with my life, that you'll never regret it.
Thanks to Dr.Vijay Rangachari.
Visited Dr. Aritra Ghosh (Laparoscopic Surgeon) For Fissure
Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for money
I very much recommend Dr. Aritra Ghosh to everyone. A very experienced surgeon who will put you at ease and definitely cure your condition. I was suffering from external hemorrhoids and fissure for almost three years. After a lot of unsuccessful non surgical treatments (allopathic/ayurvedic/homeo), I finally decided to go the surgical way. I went to Pristyn a year back, and they recommended a laser hemorrhoidopexy and sphincterotomy. They promised less pain and immediate recovery in laser procedure as compared to open surgery. Hence I went ahead with the laser procedure. However I had post surgical pain for around a week (i had to take pain killer). The hemorrhoids were cured in 2 weeks but the fissure condition remained. The fissure worsened and the pain increased. Going to washroom was literally a nightmare for me everyday. Finally after a year of the laser surgery, I went to Dr. Aritra Ghosh. He initially prescribed non surgical treatment for a week and told me that he will go ahead with surgery only if it didn't work. As there was no much effect, he prescribed an open surgery (he said he doesn't believe in laser). I was sceptical at first, but he assured me of assured results and that the post surgical recovery process won't be as painful as I was thinking. I went ahead with the surgery anyway. To my surprise, both the surgical process and post surgical recovery process was much better than the previous laser procedure. I didn't have considerable pain post surgery and stopped taking pain killers in two days. Everything is normal now and I am happy that I found the right doctor.

I just went to show my cholestrol report and nothing else. Why should I pay consultation charge again for showing the report which was pending. Bit the doc denied straightly. It was said first pay 700 bucks and then enter the doc room.I already asked the doc that can I come after few days for cholesterol report as my office timing was not matching with my appointment. He was fine with it at that time. Very disappointed. And then I left the place. *** *** *** ** ******** ***

We are very Grateful and Glad that we could meet up with Pediatric Neurologist Dr Usha Mallinath . our child who was all well was suddenly not walking and was admitted at 2 different hospitals and was seen by Pediatric Neurologist as well . child didnt show any improvement and hence upon one of my friend’s suggestion who had good experience for their child with Dr Usha we visited Dr usha Mallinath at Manipal Hospital .
we were very much impressed by the way she dealt with out child . Highly Professional and a very transparent person in her approach .She took complete input from us and child was completely examined . we were amazed the way she was talking and dealing with child in that critical situation too . That was a positive reinforcement for our son . we were given ample information about the condition , the possible causes and need to do relevant investigations. we followed all her advice .
There is so much thought process involved that Doctor was so mindful that all these were not discussed in the presence of child so that child is not affected Psychologically
She used to check the child regularly and update us about the condition . we were given all the information about the medications being used .Treatment was started and to our surprise the child showed tremendous improvement and started walking slowly and after 3 days child started walking .
She is a doctor with Integrity and Professionalism . She gives good insight into the problem and there is no false information . This really helps to cope up with situation .
She is highly inspirational for kids too . Dr Usha Mallinath is an Wonderful Pediatric Neurologist .Highly recommended to visit for kids Brain related Problems . we had a great experience with doctor . She is quite experienced and very logical .

I had recently undergone nose(left sinus) surgery. I had difficulty breathing through nose due to deviated septum, left sinus filled with mucus and overgrowth of polyp. Since, it was surgery related to nose, we had to be extremely cautious in getting it done ******* *** **** **** *** *******. We consulted different ENT Specialists. Finally, after lot of research, we got the online reference of Dr. Vijay Rangachari, Whitefield Manipal hospital.
Dr Rangachari assessment about my nose/sinus problem was to the point. He explained us in a very detailed manner about the whole treatment including surgery. He told us that he will completely target the underlying issue so that treatment and surgery is highly effective. I was initially put on medication for one month and post that, I underwent FESS(Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery) septoplasty under GA, surgery.
Dr. Rangachari had been extremely supportive during and post treatment. Post surgery, I remained in Hospital for 3 days. He was very kind, supported me very gently, consoled me when I was in pain. After surgery, he was particular about the underlying conditions so that it does not come back. He has carefully planned the follow ups and the medications that needs to be taken.
Besides being a highly knowledgeable person and one of the best ENT surgeons we have in Bangalore, Dr. Rangachari is a very polite, kind person who will listen to your problem very patiently and then come up with a treatment plan which would treat you completely..
I am extremely happy that now, I can breathe and sleep peacefully at night. If anyone has an ENT problem or planning any ENT surgery, please don't look anywhere else. I highly recommend Dr. Rangachari, trust me, you will be in the SAFEST hands.

I was at Manipal whitefield 2months back for my mother's femur fracture surgery, even that time the service was bad and now it's just terrible. *** ******* ******** ** ********* * ***** ******** *** ** ***** *** *** *** ******* *** ******** ********* ***** *** * **** *********** *********. She had to be in the ICU for a day, and I had to spend money, time and energy for negligence on a doctor's end. We have gone for multiple appointments in these 2 months but not once was that medicine was told to be continued.
Manipal only cares about protocol, when it's convenient to them. The ER staffs ***** *** ******* ** ******* didn't care to remember her name) were too arrogant when asked about the condition of my mother. The nurses and housekeeping staffs were pulling away my mother's leg in ways that would even hurt people with unbroken bones. No information was being passed from the ER staffs to the radiologists etc and they were asking us what test they were supposed to do. And all this, for a mistake that your hospital and doctors did.
She had to stay at the ICU for a day and was told would be shifted to a normal ward soon but waited till evening for a bed to be available, only to find out that the bed was not even made, no housekeeping done, no essential kits given for the attender, unclean toilets. The guards on the floor kept bothering attenders to leave, since only one attender can stay, when we were just going to collect our belongings from the room. The nurse station was empty at times and they were always overworked. We had to wait more than an hour for a simple IV change or meds or bandage dressings. We got the essentials next day, after asking them for a whole day. Our food preferences were asked on the next day, but even then food provided was not what we chose. Wrong lunch was given at 1:43pm and then when informed, it was changed after an hour. Same happened in the evening, then what's the point of even asking what food preference we have.
Nurses came in the morning and told to skip the BP medicine, since the BP is stable and then comes later on saying we shouldn't have skipped it and then gave the medicine.
The lifts were filthy, smelling of garbage. Discharge always takes so long, even after getting all required approvals from insurer and settling all final payments. Partial refunds given and no mention of the amount pending to be refunded which I can apparently use to buy meds at the pharmacy. Even calling an ambulance has a wait time of upwards of an hour. Can go on and on of what was wrong with this hospital, *** *** **** ********* ***** *** *** ********** **** *** ******** ***** *** ** ** *** ******** ** *** ******** ******
