Dr Shagufta is blessing for mother's who are facing issues related to lactation. For a mother giving birth is painful but seeing your child deprived from breast milk is nothing less than that .. I had delivered my child in a well know hospital of Bangalore but due to bad lactation process their my baby was almost rejecting me .. even via nipple sheild I was unable to feed him .. after 10 days via my friend got to know about Dr. Shagufta and luckily got her appointment .. in 3 meetings she has not only made me learn how to feed my child initially via sheild but also helped me to remove sheild which has been an impossible task for us as my baby was used too of it .. she is awesome while taking to her you will feel like you are talking a person very close to you who will listen whatever you say.
She is not only a lactation consultant but also a counsellor who will help you to get your all confidence back to feed you child .. Don't give a second thought if you have issue meet her asap as after giving birth nothing can make you happier than feeding your child .. Thank you so much Dr Shagufta for gifting me this happiness of life :)

Overall it was good experience at the rainbow hospital banergatta.. The receptionists were quite cooperative in fixing the appointment..I took a lactation consultant appointment as my wife was facing lots of difficulty in feeding of our 18 days old child.. Dr shagufta and her team was very good at solving out our feeding issues by giving the right advice and information regarding feeding.. They have good expertise in the field and understand the exact problem and treat accordingly.. I'm so relieved now that our baby is feeding well.. They even provided us their helpline number to contact them in future for any queries related to lactation.. Highly recommend this place to all those who are facing issues with feeding.

Every single day I have thanked Dr Shagufta Parveen. She has been an angel to me. I delivered elsewhere and was given breastfeeding training and happily came back home. Things didn't fall in place and I visited the same hospital for their guidance. But again upon reaching home I faced issues. After a struggle of 6weeks I visited Dr Shagufta. She took every intrinsic details, listened to all of my woes. I fed the baby twice at her clinic which means quite a lot of time, she made me practice there and didn't let me go home untill I was perfect.

I had my second child and was facing problems with feeding and Apollo cradle Jayanagar gave me her number. She was not only able to guide me through the problem but also suggested which pump to go for temporarily. At a time when your mind seems very vulnerable, her advise and reiteration that everything will be alright was such a relief. Thank you Shagufta. I never visited her but on phone she could advise me. I never paid for her service also as nothing was asked for. Great help in time of need!

This post is very late, but Dr. Shagufta deserves the praise. My baby is almost a year old now, and I'm still able to breastfeed her easily. This is my first baby, and I had no idea what breastfeeding entailed. The first two days in the hospital, I was so panicked because I assumed my milk would just be there...I wasn't even sure colostrum was coming out. I was ready to accept that I tried, and my baby would drink formula, which I told myself while pregnant, is a fine option. However, we met shagufta at her clinic in 2 hour session she educated me, and helped me figure out the proper latch, how to hold my baby, and told me how to supplement formula with feeding cup if it would ease my mind. I gave tiny bits of formula those few days, so that I knew my baby was eating. However, after 3 -4 days , my milk fully came in, and we were able to stop supplementing! Dr. Shagufta called me to check in on me, and provide additional support on phone.
Fast forward 3-4 months, I met her again . I was about to return to work, and needed help figuring out how to pump, how often, and how much to give my baby. She watched us do a feed, weighed my daughter before and after, and helped determine how much she was eating. We then came up with a plan of how much milk to leave behind.
Now that I am a year into this journey, I am sad it is almost at an end, but so thankful to have this bond with my daughter, and grateful to Dr. Shagufta for all her help and support.

I visited Dr. Shagufta when my baby was 20 days old. After a last minute c- section, I fed my baby for barely 3 days and ended up with cracked nipples. By the 5th day both my breasts were sore and I had started bleeding from both my breasts. Every time I had to feed my baby, it's was a horrid, excruciating and immensely painful ordeal. I could see the blood pouring into my baby's mouth. Then I ended up getting hospitalized for UTI. I started to pump and bottle feed my milk. I wanted to breastfeed my baby but the thought of the excruciating pain would send shivers down my spine. That's when I met Dr. Shagufta. She was my last hope as I had tried 3-4 times meeting other lactation specialists but I just could not get the latch corrected.
Dr. Shagufta was very patient, supportive and empathetic. She heard me out, and gave me alot of hope. She took the time to make me practice latching my baby correctly. I had almost no confidence that I could get the technique, but Dr. Shagufta kept encouraging me. Today, I am breast- feeding my baby exclusively and enjoying the bond I'm sharing with my baby. Thank you Dr. shagufta for everything.

Dr. Shagufta is awesome.I have been lucky enough to have her help me. Every new mother goes through a roller coaster ride once the baby is born from breastfeeding to taking care of the baby. Its like we are on some mission, thanks to our family pressure.
For me, I was completely unsure of how to breastfeed, and it took about 5 days before my milk supply came in. I walked into Dr. Shagufta's clinic with my week old daughter, with complaints of horribly cracked and bleeding nipples along unbearable pain while latching. She assessed my daughter's latch, diagnosed a lip and tongue tie, prescribed me a nipple care ointment for my cracks.
Dr. Shagufta gave me so much valuable info and was so comforting that I began doing it all right. She also helped me through breast engorgement which began due to poor feeding and frequently checked in to see how I was doing after our initial visit.
Dr. Shagufta is so wonderful at what she does. I highly recommend her for any concerns with lactation / breastfeeding issues.

I delivered elsewhere. Was given a good lactation support by nurses like every new mother gets.
Headed back home thinking it would fall in place.
In jus a few details, I realized I wasn't good enough for my baby. To add to my not confident conscious, my own people said I needed help and I didn't have enough for my baby, I m not doing it right. Felt miserable, with painful breastfeeding which wasn't sufficient for my baby. Thought I better check with some expert in this subject. So like any other person, I Googled n found Dr Shagufta with some good reviews. Believed myself that I was doing right, I headed straight to her with no second thoughts in mind.
On discussion with her, I realized I was given partial information. All I needed was correction in how I held my baby- close to my heart. After 2 weeks of suffering, I fed my baby 1st time with no pain at all. A simple step correction, and I felt I was the best mom my baby could ever have.
Thank you for all your patience and support Dr. Shagufta.

Dr.Shagufta was a pillar of support for me throughout my pregnancy. Her yoga and antenatal classes helped me have a normal delivery. Post delivery, she helped me with practical lactation solutions which made nursing my baby a smooth and pleasant experience. She did all of these with a smile, was always ready to listen to my complaints and questions providing me with the confidence boost that I really needed.
