#Positive birthstory# Empowered Birth#Baby girl!
I was conceived 3rd time just 2 months post my missed abortion (2nd) hence my body was too weak and anxiety gripped me coz of the history. I was at native and when I called up my gynec, she said this time it will go well and will check once I am back. We decided to travel at 10 weeks, so went to a local gynec to see if I could get heads up for travel. She scanned and told I have internal bleeding hence to be on bed rest, take 2 injections every alternate day, keep vaginal pill else I will miscarry blah blah.. I was too scared and called up my gynec (Dr Yogasalini) at chennai to inform this. She asked me not to take any of those injection or meds and assured me nothing is wrong and I can be active and continue to take just folic ,but travel when I am comfortable. Hence we decided to travel back to chennai post 12 weeks. Mam was happy for me to see everything was normal at 3rd month scan and encouraged me to be active and positive.
I started prenatal yoga and birth ball exercises from fifth month of my pregnancy after heads up from gynec.
I had panic moments when I faced spotting thrice during pregnancy but everytime my obgyn assured that nothing is wrong and to stay positive .I was given only calcium and iron, later skipped Iron too since that caused me constipation and my tb was food.Assured that the prominence in baby's kidney at 20 week anomoly scan is coz baby hasnt passed urine so dont have to worry .I wanted to have a natural birth but couldn't go to Birth Village, Kochi hence discussed this in detail with my obgyn and she assured me that it will go as per my wish. Many told me that most gynec will say yes for everything but will change in the last minute but I trusted her.
Next scan at 36 weeks, mam said baby's head is engaged and I can expect pain around 38 week itself.
LABOR:
On 29th June 10pm ( 38 weeks and 6 days) , I started feeling pain in my vaginal region and then in my lower belly, I wasn’t sure if it was actual labor coz I know how contractions will be but they were 5 mins apart .I drank jeera, saunf water to rule out Braxton hicks but they don't stop. Hence called up my ob and she asked me to come to hospital if surges last for more than 30 secs. They did so and we reached hospital at 11pm.
Team : My Obgyn Dr. Yogasalini , 2 nurses to assist her, my husband, my sister.
My overall labor was just 4 hours!
*No frantic shaving of pubic area, No enema, No drips, No breaking membranes, No episiotomy, Free to move.
*Baby heartbeat checked and found normal.
*Mam did 1st internal examination after asking me, Informed 8 CM dilated.
*Mam left the room asking me to call for her when I am ready to push and gave me my space.
*Dim lights, songs playing, essential oil diffuser on, drank few sips of water and peeing often and speaking to baby.
*I was breathing through contractions, bouncing and doing hip rotations on birth ball (coz of yoga sessions) . When I was on all 4 I felt baby descend faster and felt the urge to push and called mam.
*I was on my yoga mat and dint want to move elsewhere hence went into a deep squat on the mat, my hub was holding me, my ob was all set to assist me n my baby and in 1st push my water broke and in 2 more intense pushes she was out at 1.50am !
*Immediate skin to skin established. I can't explain how grateful I felt that moment. For the first time I birthed my baby not just someone delivered her.
*Delayed cord clamping.
*Placenta naturally delivered.
*1° tear stitches done.
*Golden hour feeding done.
Finally an empowered birth just how I wanted!🥰
Even though the next day was Sunday, she came to check on us! We were discharged in 24 hours and charged nominal too. However tired she has been, she always carried that smile and stayed calm and patient. Every time I had doctor appointment I came back all charged up. I'm gonna miss all that.
I am super grateful to mam who supported me throughout pregnancy, who gave no unnecessary pills or tests, who even allowed me to skip that glucose water test coz I couldn't stand it ,who let me travel, cleared all my silly doubts and gave assurance every single time i was worried and respected every single wish of mine and made it happen .She has been my pillar of support ! Mam is an epitome of positivity . That smile and talk can lift up any dull spirit. Even post delivery she supports me with breastfeeding. I owe her big time!
I take this platform to Thank you mam for all that you did! You make a huge difference! I am gonna miss you.
I wish the very best to all the parents to be reading this! Make the right choice,Stay positive, Keep visualizing! If you are choosing Dr. Yogasalini then rest assured you are making the right choice.

My mom was suffering from severe leg pain along with swelling in hands. We have consulted with several doctors but everyone provided their own opinions which didn't yield any betterment of her health but only lead to prolonged sleepless nights. After seeing the reviews, I have decided to get the consultation from Dr.Vikash Agarwal. To be frank, we were not having much hope and only thought this visit also going to be one among what we had in history but what happened was completely different.Within short span of of time(I mean around 5 mins) he has identified the cause of my mother's leg pain as due to Restless leg syndrome (We never heard this word ever) and suggested to do some tests to understand the underlying problem which has caused this syndrome. The test results have clearly said she is having severe Rheumatoid Arthritis which requires to be cured to cure the RLS.He has suggested few neuro medicines to cure RLS and also suggested to meet the RA expert(Mr.Shanmuganandan) belongs to same hospital and we met him.By seeing the test results, he has carefully suggested the medicines considering the age of my mother. What a magic! within a week of time we have started seeing the results which we didn't see for years.Through their treatment, the pain my mother undergone for years has gone and we realized that many of the other problems like back pain, hand joint pains are related to RA which has got cured after the treatment.
Mr.Viksah Agarwal's expertise skill set is highly commendable and it has highly helped my mother getting out of a prolonged disease.
Visited Dr. Benhur Joel Shadrach (Pulmonologist)
After completing all the master check-ups and paying a total of 2900Rs, we were informed by the staff that Dr. Benhur Joel would be leaving shortly. This led us to promptly pay an additional consultation fee of 800Rs for immediate attention regarding my mother's perihilar lymph nodes as identified in her checkup.
However, our experience was far from satisfactory:
Misinformation: Despite being told of Dr. Joel's imminent departure, upon our interaction, he indicated that he would be present throughout the evening.
**** ** ************ *********: Dr. Joel did not greet us or offer seating upon our entry. His demeanor was distant and lacked the courtesy typically expected of a medical professional.
Unclear Medical Feedback: When presented with my mother's chest x-ray indicating lymph nodes, Dr. Joel quickly dismissed it as 'normal' without providing a detailed analysis or addressing our concerns. ** *** ****** ** ********** *** ******** ** *** ********** ****** *** ************ ** *** ******** ******.
Defensive Behavior: Upon being questioned for clarity, Dr. Joel responded curtly, suggesting he couldn't provide an "anatomy class" for our questions. This was both inappropriate and dismissive.

I'm Sandhya and I would really appreciate Dr.Vaidhehi Mam team and their effort to deliver my baby normally with lots of patience and correct medication. After Yogasalini mam resignation i was consulting Vaidhehi mam with lots of doubts and clarification and got afraid how my delivery would go. But undoubtedly Dr.Vaidhehi mam was just amazing with clearing all my doubts and clarification patiently and handled my BP issues through out my last trimester. And when my water got broke and i reached ER care with lots of fears on my mind . But Vaidhehi mam team immediately responded and started their medication process and gave hope to trust my body and induce labor induction. After 6hrs of labor induction even i lost my confidence to bear the pain but labor ward night staff nurses and Gync team gave me the trust to induce the labor more effectively. And labor ward morning staff were really supported me through their patience when i was in my last 2 to 3hrs of labor even on my intense pain. And at the last half and hour i really don't have the strength to push my baby out but really Dr.Vaidhehi mam and the staff nurses are like saviors to motivate me to push my baby out even on the intense pain. I would really thank Dr.Vaidhehi mam and the staff nurses and Housekeeping akka from the bottom of myheart who were during my labor. Anyone can treat patient for the money they spent for their treatment but when we are going through the pain there should be somebody to gave hope to trust our body throughout the medication process and that's how Dr.Vaidhehi mam team did that successfully and deliver my baby through Vaginal delivery even when i lose all my hope and asked them for C-section. Thanks would not be the one word which i would appreciate Dr.Vaidhehi Mam team. They are Saviors to deliver our little bundle of joy.
