I had huge respect on the doctor, however I'm very unsure of the duty doctors , and the team! I had GD during my pregnancy and been visiting her ever since my first month! Dreams were shattered when we knew my baby passed away in my 35weeks. It was on feb3
On Jan 2nd when I went for my regular check up, they found variation in my baby's heart beat and took CTG immediately , everything happened within minutes and admitted me immediately.. in a day I was discharged as things came back to normal.
From Feb 2nd night I found a difference in my baby's movement and I went to the hospital on Feb 3rd morning.. it was a sunday , the duty doctor checked and said everything is normal, but get admitted! I requested for CTG and scan as I remember it was done immediately when I went the previous month without having any complaints but now I have a complaint of less movents and still they said it will be done the next day.. there was no one in the hospital other than few nurses and duty doctors. I told them I'll come back after my lunch and get admitted as I stay close by and the duty doctor let me go! I again requested a CTG before I left and I was told it will be done tomo for sure.. I went home , had my lunch, I came back at 3pm , I was waiting in the reception and rooms were ready and I was asked to go-to the room. Me and my husband requested to check the heart beat and unfortunately we couldn't find the heart beat..
Almost untill 5.30 the duty doctor and the nurses were searching for the heartbeat, I was taken to do CTG at around 4.50pm and no one knew to operate CTG.. I was made to wait and finally the nurse informed Dr.Malaraj she arrived at 5.30 and in two mins she said the baby has died !
Later scan was arranged and the scan doctor declared the baby is no more, though everything seems to be normal, it's unfortunate. The scan doctor said the water level is normal, there is no chord , she said may be it's cos of GD however my sugar levels were completely under control..
I delivered normally the next day evening at 7.20 ! It was a sweet little girl , it was very painful to have delivered a motion less baby however the hospital authorities treated the baby really bad, covering the baby in the plastic cover and put the baby over the dustbin all in front of my eyes.. I begged the nurse to not do that!!
It took a lot of time for me to recover and realise what happened to me.. I felt the hospital could have been more cautious, as a mom, I did not anticipate anything bad to happen but I felt they could have been more attentive and more cautious! Also to notice that my last scan report was misplaced as another mother's during my 29 weeks scan ***** ***** * ***** ** ** * *** ******* ** *** ***** ** ********
I went to the doctor later after a month and explained everything that happened, however the doctor accused me that i did not get admitted and it was totally my fault ! She was never willing to listen ** ****** *** ***** **** *** **** ******** *
I'm writing this after so many months, analysing everything that happened and I strongly feel if they had done CTG or scan when I went in the morning on feb3 , it would have been my baby's birthday and not her death day, we could have saved my little girl!! My discharge summary says the cause of death as chord around the neck *** * **** ** **** *** *** **** **** ** *** ***** ** *** ****** **** ***** ** *********
It could be my fate but I feel the hospital could have been atleast handled the baby understanding what a mom was going thru!! And giving another mom's scan report in your name is like truly unacceptable..

At first i made several assumptions about the doctor and her methods of treatment and literally feared about the expenses we had to make. But to be honest, she was so heartwarming and she was bold enough to explain the health condition that I had without exaggerating too much and she was so encouraging and supportive. I must admit that true to the reputation she has, she is one of the best doctors in the city.
