ACL TEAR & Bucket handle tear f meniscus
Hi Doctor, PFA my MRI report of right knee. I had consulted orthopedician for knee pain. He inspected leg and told to go for MRI. After seeing the report he told to go for arthroscopy operation. Can it be healed without surgery. If surgery is the only option how long does it take to heal and walk again. Thanks, Harsha

Meniscus tear will give you trouble like clicking, locking and pain. This is less likely to heal by its own. ACL tear might cause instability, as you are 26. I would reccomend the same to you. Surgery consist of ACL reconstruction and meniscectomy if the injury is old and Meniscus repair is the injury is recent and reparable.
Next Steps
In meniscectomy, you can walk next day. In Meniscus repair you have to be cautious and weight bearing is delayed.
Health Tips
Go for surgery now.

Arthroscopic reconstruction of ACL and repair of the meniscus is the ideal treatment for you. You will need to use a brace for walking for initial 6 weeks after surgery. You can resume light job after 6 weeks from surgery. Running tasks need atleast 6 months after  surgery.
