The safest procedure for you is LASER ASSISTED ABLATION or LASER assisted vaporisation of about 2-3 mm of the surface of the tonsils. This serves two purposes. Since this is practically a bloodless procedure, it is safe and within one week of the surgery, the squamous epithelial migration from surrounding areas will re-epithelialise the tonsil surface, leaving healthy looking tonsils and no trace that a surgery was ever performed in your throat!
