Dose of telmesartan

My father takes telmesartan40 once in a day. just want to know, what should be the minimum time gap between 2 doses of this medicine? can we take it again after 6 hours if BP is not under control?

Telmisartan is initiated with 40 mg once daily ,to titrate accordingly .If the bp remains high , either the dose is increased or another drug from different class is added to telmisartan
