Sir my father's MRI report was concluded with this "MR findings are suggestive of posterocentral disc protrusion at L4-L5 level comprising bilateral neural foramina. Another broad based diffuse disc bulge at L5-S1 level lateralised to left side and minimal indenting at neural foramina associated with ligamentum flavum and facetal hypertrophy at L4-L5 levels.

If you father has developed symptoms like weakness, numbness or reduced sensation over affected lower limbs or he has bowel/bladder complications, then he should undergo surgery to decompress the vertebral canal.
