Is there any kind of toothpaste which causes no harm when swallowed? My two year old son used to swallow the water while brushing.

At the age of 2 years don't use the toothpaste that is used for adults at all, Tooth paste for kids is different. Get it prescribed by a dentist based on tooth formation dentist prescribs a tooth paste containing fluoride with maximum content 450 -500 ppm Plus based on which area you belong. For 2 year kids use kids tooth paste only once a day.

Children toothpaste are usually with no or minimal fluoride.  Swallowing won't cause problems.  Plain Colgate dental without fluoride or Cheerio may be used.  Any non fluoridated toothpaste is fine.

A slight amount of toothpaste is ingested even by adults during brushing..... this is never a major concern.... kids toothpaste are different from adult's toothpaste by 1 major factor of having less fluoride..... you can take any toothpaste containing less than 500 PPM of fluoride and that should be able to take care of your child's dental health adequately.... Regards.....
