Yasmin 21 days contraceptive fill

My wife is taking Yasmin 21 days contraceptive fill regularly since from 8 days of her mensuration cycle. Is it safe to have unprotected sex during middle of month/cycle like 12 to 15days after mensuration ? When she is on daily contraceptive fill on time without missing? During middle of month is unprotected sex is OK?
