Hi Doctor, I am having dry cough and sore throat from the recent weather changes. And my head is feeling heavy periodically. Started with runny nose which has stopped now.
Is that that something be cured by Dabur Honitus Cough Syrup or recommend to start an antibiotic course?

Hi, I understand you are experiencing dry cough, sore throat and a heavy head. It is great you're considering your options!
However, it's challenging to give specific medical advice without examining you.
Let's consider the possibilities:
Dry cough and sore throat could be due to a viral infection like a cold or flu. These usually resolve on their own within a week or two.
Heavy head could be linked to allergies, sinus issues, or even tension headaches.
Here's what I suggest:
Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids to soothe your throat and help your body fight any infection.
Rest: Get adequate sleep to support your body's natural healing process.
Over-the-counter remedies: Consider using saline nasal spray for congestion and lozenges for sore throat.
Important Note: It's crucial to consult with a doctor if your symptoms worsen or persist for longer than a week. This is especially important if you experience:
Fever
Difficulty breathing
Chest pain
Earache
Recommendations:
I strongly advise you to schedule an appointment with a doctor for a thorough evaluation and personalized treatment plan. Antibiotics are not effective against viruses, and using them unnecessarily can contribute to antibiotic resistance.

Good morning, as you mentioned here that you are having dry cough, sore throat, headache, runny nose and a recent weather change are suggesting towards a viral fever.
Usually for any fever we wait for atleast 3-4 days before starting an antibiotics because if it's a viral fever it will subside by it's own without any antibiotics.
If your symptoms are not getting better or you are getting fever with chills then you need to get your blood tested for dengue and malaria.
