All the medication mentioned are usually used for treating cold and cough. Most children suffer from viral infections, and the duration of the problems may be prolonged due to allergy and also because of the smaller size of the airway. It would be prudent to continue with one doctor till he tells you otherwise. Increased humidity and reducing allergens and use of decongestant nasal drops would additionally be beneficial.
