Dental braces
Hey, doc! How many times do I have to visit my doctor after fixing braces? If after getting braces I am supposed to relocate somewhere else, can other doctors carry on with the treatment if my braces need some changes or needs fixing?

Hello ! You may have to see your Orthodontist anywhere between 1-2 times a month. (For each patient it varies). Avoid changing Orthodontists as that can increase your treatment time and treatment expense, as this is a long and progressive treatment process. Instead, you can go for clear aligners as that needs fewer clinic visits and you can visit your old orthodontist clinic every few months for checkup. Hope this helped.

The frequency of visits to your orthodontist after getting braces can vary depending on your individual treatment plan and how your teeth respond to the braces. Typically, you will have to visit your orthodontist approximately every 4 to 8 weeks for adjustments and progress checks. During these appointments, your orthodontist will make necessary adjustments to the braces and monitor your teeth's movement. If you are planning to relocate while undergoing orthodontic treatment, it's essential to communicate this with your current orthodontist as early as possible. They can help you plan your treatment schedule and provide guidance on finding a new orthodontist in your new location. In many cases, your current orthodontist can work with a new orthodontist to transfer your treatment plan and records, ensuring a smooth transition in your orthodontic care. When choosing a new orthodontist, it's important to find someone experienced and skilled in orthodontic treatments. They will need access to your treatment records and X-rays to continue your treatment effectively. Communication between your current and new orthodontists is crucial to ensure consistency and the best possible outcome for your treatment. Keep in mind that orthodontic treatment requires regular adjustments and monitoring, so having a plan in place for continuing your treatment is essential, especially if you are relocating.

Hi, You have to visit the dentist every month after braces treatment. It is better to get the entire treatment done with one dentist as treatment may differ from dentist to dentist.
