During a gout episode, it is critical to limit purine intake since high-purine foods can cause inflammation. It is advised to avoid animal protein like red and organ meat, processed meats, shellfish, and certain types of sea food as they have moderate to high amount of purine in them. Fresh water fish can be consumed in moderation. However if the levels of uric acid are very high then they should be avoided. Instead, plant protein options like dals and lentils can be chosen for fulfilling daily protein needs. Dairy items such as cow milk, paneer, and curd are generally considered safe to consume during a gout attack provided they are all made using low-fat milk. Also, it is advised to avoid purine-rich alcohol like beer and sugary beverages. Concentrate on anti-inflammatory foods, such as fruits, leafy greens, and whole grains, to help manage gout symptoms. Drinking lot of water yo help flush out excess uric acid.

Hi Good evening! You can avoid fish like shell fish, sardine, tuna and anchovies. Other fish can be had in moderate amounts may be once in 10-15 days. Low-fat milk/ curd should be fine.
