DNA report
I had a miscarriage and I have given the fetus test for DNA and the result came. The result of the essay indicate a whole arm gain of chromosome 13. The other autosomes except chr 1 and the sex chromosome reveals a normal pattern.
Interpretation : abnormal female with gain for whole arm of chromosome 13 , indicative a patau syndrome.
Pls suggest whether I will have a Normal pregnancy in future. Is there any treatment for chromosome abnormalities. It is because of egg or sperms ????

I would suggest if you are extremely anxious about future conception do karyotyping for both of you or else you can wait and be watchful in your next pregnancy as it can occur by chance also.In case its a recurrent abortion then get the test done.You can connect with me for online consultation for further management
